I’m seriously in love with this one 
Life goes on, right? Yea it sure does. Seems like it’s just going right along without me. I’m totally in this funk. “Sit on the couch all day and feel sorry for myself” kinda funk. I know ya’ll probably get tired of reading how depressed I am. But, honestly, I’m not “depressed”. I mean, I’m sad, of course, I miss my dad so much. But I still feel like I’m walking around outside my body. Like I’m sittin back and watching the world move on. And I’m just sitting still. I don’t know if that makes sense, but this is a blog, so that’s what I’m doing, blogging. It helps me put things in perspective. You know what I think sometimes, how am I ever going to live up to the kind of person my father was. He was so GREAT, at everything. Such a kind heart and never said a bad word about anyone. HOW can anyone be that perfect. He was. And now, here I am, trying so hard to be just like him. I don’t know if I can, but I most certainly am going to try.
On another note, it’s rained here almost every day for like 5 days. 3 sessions in a row were rained out 
…. Well the sun is SHINING today! I have a special session today. An adorable baby, a tutu and a big giant bow. 
What fun! Yesterday, my little sis and I went on an excursion, to see if it was to wet for the portrait I had planned for yesterday. Well, yes, it was too wet, but did that stop us…..NO WAY!
I want to post a slideshow here, but can’t figure out how. I know you are supposed to just post the code, but it won’t work. If anyone out there has a wordpress blog and knows, pleeeeeease share. That away I won’t have to post so many pictures!!!
First I must tell you, this red van totally followed us for like 5 minutes. I made all these crazy turns and he totally made the same ones. Now, maybe he was lost, but it was freaky!

Yea two posts in one day. Well, it’s been a slow day. Boring, lots of HGTV and sittin on the couch eating chocolate chip cookies. So what’s a girl to do, get up, grab the camera and go out back. You know….pictures of my baby to follow.
I don’t have any sort of landscaping in my yard. So when I see colorful weeds poppin up, I have to photograph them. I try to tell myself to slow down, and smell (photograph) the roses (weeds).
I miss you dad.
Sometimes, I need to just take pictures. Like back in the day. And now I’m off to pizza and a video with the best husband on the planet.
Well yesterday started out great, then ended up as a migraine and a sleeping pill. But that’s a whole other story. So Mandi was a bridesmaid at a wedding I photographed. I knew right when I met her, I wanted to *shoot* her (so to speak). She said she is terrible in front of the camera and was so nervous that she wouldn’t know I what to do! Well come-on, I’ll let you judge for yourself?
TERRIBLE??? PSHHHHH!
This lovely little critter was right above our head for all the shots above. We didn’t even notice him. I swear he was as big as a baseball! No kidding! And you know, I don’t have a zoom lens, and he was up high, we it was quite the adventure getting this picture. Being as how I am TERRIFIED of spiders, especially ones that look like that!
It was almost TOTALLY dark in this barn. But this was exactly what I wanted, and I think I got it.

Today was a good day, all in all. I still don’t really know how to be ok. But photography makes me smile. Makes me feel like everything will be good again. I’m trying to surround myself with positive people. I love reading comments, makes my smile even wider!

One day at a time, right? That’s what I’m doing. Nothing will changed what happened. I can stay in bed all day every day (which I have), and it doesn’t change the fact that my dad’s not here anymore. If he could, he’d give me a swift kick in the rear. And say get up and do something. I know that for a fact. I stayed up till 3 a.m. working on my new business cards. I’m not revealing them till the time is right. But I promise they are AWESOME. And a website in the making. Which, I also promise, you won’t be disappointed. I wish I could show him all this, cause I’m doing it to make him proud. Everyone keeps saying he’s watchin with a big smile on his face, and I sure hope they’re right. I could never give up photography. It was a piece of him that he left to me. Photography makes my soul feel good. If that makes sense. It’s what I’m all about. I want to take this minute to say how grateful I am. I will never stop missing him, but I must make the MOST out of what he gave me. And I’m trying my darndest to do just that. But I ask for you all to be patient. I’m not jumping in full steam. Alot of people, not meaning to, keep pushing me to go full time. But I want to do it at my own pace. I always promised my dad that I would do it big, or not at all. I think he admired that about me. So I’m sticking with that. I’m not rushing. I’m taking it one day at a time.
Me and Dad at my high school graduation. There is hardly no pain in his eyes here. He looks so proud. And that’s how I want to remember him.

I have my first portrait in a couple hours. I hear crazy thunder going on, let’s pray that goes away!
to reality. I suppose. I know it’s been awhile. I know most of my blog readers are also myspace friends. So they know what’s been going on in my life. But to those of you who aren’t myspacers, I lost my daddy one week ago. He was the inspiration in my life. Especially my photography. I’m not sure yet how to go on with this without him. But I know he was very proud of me. Someone told me that he said I would be famous one day and take care of him. Well I may not be able to take care of him, but hopefully I can be famous It’s really hard to use my camera. I hope it gets easier, but right now it’s terrible. I need to work. But I can’t bring myself to work. So, to my blog, I’m sorry I have forgotton about you. I’m just feeling a lack of inspiration. It will come back, but right now, there’s just mush in my head. So until I have another session (and there will be one, don’t worry), I’ll leave you with this picture from the other day. This is my Aunt Donna and Uncle Chris’s neice, Harley. She would only take pictures with the sunflower! It was from a arrangement from the cemetary. Isn’t she just beautiful!

On the flip side
Ok, so there’s not any time to blog my whole session from last night. I can’t believe how busy I am. I’ve had work every day since Saturday, and one today, one tomorrow. I get to skip Thursday, but only cause I’m driving to Fort Worth all day!! Then one Friday-Sunday! WHEW!!! Some photographers say they specialize in SOMETHING. I can’t ever really figure out what it is I specialize in. PETS?? Shoot, I dunno. So I never really say. All I say is I DON’T specialize in WEDDINGS!!! HAHAHAHAH. But anyways, when I’m asked to do a family portrait, I usually cringe. But lately that hasn’t been the case. They are getting fun! Especially when I have AWESOME familys to work with. I love with someone says, I just want something fun and out of the ordinary. Well YOU CAME TO THE RIGHT GAL!!! Fun is my MIDDLE name!!! heheheh. This is only my opinion, but the following picture is perfect. To me. Only downfall is DAD wasn’t in it. But if I was a mom (and I hopefully will be one day!!), this would make my heart melt.
As a photographer, there are some things I would change. I just snapped the picture really quickly, no time to think. But that aside, I LOVE IT. I hope Dawn does too. She has some beautiful kids. They were a little leary of the camera at first but warmed up QUICKLY. Especially the older of the two, Cale, I swear he’ll be a model!
