Non-traditional Cap/Gown Pictures

First let me say, ya’ll know I like to be different.  I tend to cringe a little when someone asks me to do cap/gown pictures.  I think they are so BORING!!!  Who wants to put on a dorky hat and take pictures.  Well Haley could take the dorkiest hat of them all and still be postively gorgeous!!!!  I took a couple traditional ones for her mommy…

But then Haley had enough..

And another Senior!

Vinton has such pretty girls!!!   And here’s Samantha.  You know the drill…long post, sorry!!  I’ll try to narrow it a little.  YEA RIGHT!  I start my new job tonight!!!  Yay!!!  I’m so excited I can’t stand it!

Here’s my new secret location.  I found it yesterday day, and I’m diggin it so much.  Will def be going back there.  Thanks for being a trooper Sam.  I know sometimes I have weird ideas (i.e. big round concrete things….hahhahaha)

Dang Wind!!!

This one makes me turn my head sideways, but her eyes are so pretty!!

And I need to add that almost all of these pictures where straight out of the camera. Ya’ll know I gotta add color pop (cause that’s what I do), but othersise, not much editing. I LOVE MY NEW LENS! MY CAMERA ROCKS! I don’t remember all my settings, but most were shot at 200ISO, about 1600 and 1.8. Photogs will know what this means Anyways, thanks Samantha, I had SO MUCH FUN with you!!!

Haley Senior

I have to start, again, by saying how LUCKY I am to get to take pictures of such beautiful people. Sessions like these make this so much fun. When Haley asked me to do her pictures, so many ideas popped in my head all at once. She’s so naturally pretty, that I was stoked that she thought of me!! Things started out rough in Beaumont. It was so crowded and DANG windy. I really didn’t think I got anything good while we were there…but I was so WRONG. We even scheduled a mini session in the morning to make up for the missed shots (I thought I got). Well now Haley will have a TON to choose from! Thanks for reading…and thanks for the adventure Haley!!

First of all, I am BLESSED to get the chance to take pictures of such beautiful people. I know I say that alot, but it’s true. And then when I get to take pictures of a beautiful person that’s related to me, it’s even better. And then when I get to take a picture of TWO beautiful people that are related to me! Geez! I’m so lucky!!! Anyways, I’m still working on these. Halley’s Senior session

I view photography as art. It’s not just about taking pictures, at least not for me. Anyone can pick up a camera a snap some pictures. I want to capture art. Keep that in mind when viewing this senior session. It’s not traditional. This girl is gorgeous so in my opinion she needed a very special session. I do plan to shoot more of her in the near future. The camera loves her. So heres a few (or like a million of course!) for your viewing pleasure.
